Studied dance at the Académie de Danse Classique Princesse Grâce de Monaco under the directorship of Marika Besobrasova.
Joined the Ballet company of the Bonn Opera in Germany in under the directorship of Peter Van Dyk.
He became a soloist under the directorship of Youri Vamos who had become the Artistic Director of the company.
In 1991 he followed Youri Vamos to the Basel Ballet for 5 years where he also started to choreograph with success.
In 1996 he followed Youri Vamos again, this time to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
In 1997 he became the Artistic Director of the Ballet de l´Opéra de Nice for 9 years. The company performed his works together with Youri Vamos, Hans Van Manen, Robert North, Nils Christe, Richard Wherlock, John Cranko...
He created the following full length choreographies for the company : Coppélia, Roméo and Juliet, La fille mal gardée, Nutcracker, Carmen, Cinderella...
In 2007 he became Ballet Master of the Royal Swedish Ballet under the directorship of Madeleine Onne, and then he was the Artistic Director of the company from 2008-2011.
The company performed works by Mats Ek, Christian Spuck, Nils Christe, Maurice Béjart,Thierry Malandain, Angelin Prejlocaj, Patrice Bart, Birgit Cullberg,Kenneth MacMillan, John Cranko, Georges Balanchine, Mauricio Wainrot, John Cranko, Pär Isberg etc.
From 2011-2018 he was a free lance guest Ballet Master and Choreographer, collaborating with numerous major dance companies all around the world, Royal Swedish Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet, Netherlands Dans Theater, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Ballet de l´Opéra du Rhin, Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse, Stuttgart Ballet, Czech National Ballet, Basel Ballet, Zürich Ballet, Grand Théâtre de Genève, West Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, Korean National Ballet, Liaoning Ballet Shenyang, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, Izmir State Opera and Ballet, Croatian National Ballet Split, Teatro San Carlo Napoli...
He also worked for choreographies in opera productions in the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv, Teatro Massimo Parlermo, Teatro Regio di Torino, Opéra de Liège, Opéra de Marseille...
He is the President of the Jury of the International Classical Ballet Competition in Grasse.
In September 2018 he joined the Stuttgart Ballet as a full time Ballet Master under the directorship of Tamas Detrich.
